Spiffy ID Bracelets

band.jpgVia ParentHacks comes a great idea for custom ID bracelets your kids might actually wear! Many of the young children we work with have an underdeveloped sense of stranger danger, and tendency to wander further than they should. It's important to have a safe amount of information on them should they get separated from you. Your cell phone numbers would probably do the trick, and these can fit on a trendy custom silicone bracelet. Plus, you can all wear matching family bracelets if you'd like to emphasize the family unit aspect. You can order as few as five custom bands, but make sure to order extras.

For those who can't stand having things on their wrists (that would include me), I've also had families use Tyvek tags or luggage tags worked through shoelaces. If you've come up with anything useful, please post below ...

I ordered these bracelets for a family trip to CA. We had 7 children and 6 adults and we all wore them with Grandma's cell phone number on it. It made for less worry if one of the kids got seperated at Disney Land. Well worth the cost, which was inexpensive.

Later my foster daughter wore it so when she was away from me she felt secure with "Grandma's" number on her wrist!

Custom wristbands or rubber bracelets have become all the rage these days for awareness promotions, fundraising and supporting everything from your favorite music band to your lcoal sports team. The colors and options are limited only by your imagination.

We got these for our daughter and they are super handy. i hide them with our ticket wallet, in the car, her ski jacket then keep two extra just in case. it's helped her memorize our phone numbers too. But one parent pointed out to us that a low tech solution is to just write our phone numbers with a sharpie right on our kid's arm. I guess i could do that but the bracelets are so cool :)
